A calibrated laser liquefies the fat deposits located under the top layers of your skin. The laser ruptures fat cells, liquefying them. Dr. Khalifeh removes the liquid via liposuction using a small hollow tube (cannula) inserted through a tiny incision in your skin. There are several stages in the recovery from a Smartlipo procedure. Dr. Khalifeh applies a compression garment after your procedure to prevent the tissues from shifting or an excess of blood coagulation. Your body needs time to recalibrate its fluid following your Smartlipo procedure. It also needs time to heal because the tissues were disturbed and redistributed.
