Being overweight does not exclude gynecomastia surgery. While enlargement of the chest area with being overweight is expected, a male breast appearance is not. In this example, we demonstrate the benefit of gynecomastia surgery in obtaining a more masculine figure in an overweight patient, which made him much more comfortable with his body image.
