The difference between a tummy tuck and liposuction or smartlipo is well demonstrated in this picture. She could have gotten very decent results with just lipo. But she wanted the athletic cut washboard look. This took an abdominoplasty to achieve and the outline of her abdominal muscles are nicely demonstrated. The only downside is the incision (and of course, the healing period).
