Stretch marks are formed from repeated expansion and overstretching or tearing of the skin. They are most commonly seen after rapid weight gain or weight loss, pregnancy, and during teenage years and range from red to purple in the early stages to white in the late stages.
The goal of the treatment is to make your stretch marks less noticeable with decreased redness and a more blended smooth appereance with surrouding skin.
Each individual has a different threshold for pain, but most patients find it tolerable. After laser treatment there will be some redness or swelling for a few days.
